The Coalition currently funds five family centres. These programs are geared towards families with children aged birth to age 6 (with a focus on ages 1-4) and are free to attend. All of the drop-in programs are for parents and children to attend together. Indoor shoes for both parents and children are required.
Access Fort Garry Family Centre

Location: 135 Plaza Drive
This drop-in program focuses on developing your child's literacy and numeracy skills through free play, crafts, story time and circle & rhyme time.
Parking is in front of building or directly behind the Toys R' Us.
Use the Plaza Drive entrance.
Turn left when you go through the doors and follow the hallway to the end - Room 166.
Strollers and bikes can come into the centre and be placed along the wall.
A sign-in sheet is located just inside the Family Centre door. Name tags can be found there as well.
Please make sure to bring indoor runners & water.

Day of the week: Monday mornings
Time: 9:45 - 11:30 am
This drop-in program focuses on developing your child's literacy and numeracy skills through free play, crafts, story time and circle & rhyme time.
Use the main entrance to the school (off of Chancellor).
Visitors are required to check in at the office.
Follow the signs to the centre.
Strollers and bikes if clean, can be wheeled down to Family Centre.
A sign-in sheet is located just inside the Family Centre door. Name tags can be found there as well.
Please make sure to bring indoor runners.

Parking Information: Program participants can park along the green grass just outside the main entrance to the school. Street parking is also available on Chancellor, Markham and Augusta (1/2 a block west of the school).

Location: Parc la Salle School, 190 Houde Dr.
This drop-in program focuses on developing your child's literacy and numeracy skills through free play, crafts, story time and circle & rhyme time.
Parking is on Houde Street (past the one-hour parking signs).
Use the main entrance to the school on Houde Street.
No need to check in at the office. The Centre is located in the library. Follow signs in the hall.
Strollers and bikes can be left against the wall between the doors at the front entrance
A sign-in sheet is located just inside the Family Centre door. Name tags can be found there as well.

Location: South Wpg CC, Waverly Site. 1885 Chancellor Dr.
This drop-in program focuses on developing your child's literacy skills through free play, crafts, songs and an interactive story time.
Parking is in the community centre parking lot.
Use the side entrance on the south side of the building.
No need to check in at the office.
There is lots of room for strollers right inside the building.
For security reasons everyone must sign in (the centre’s book daily) and wear a nametag
